Blast cleaning service

At LRES-UK Ltd we are a leading provider of industrial cleaning services including blast cleaning. Providing a highly effective solution in a wide range of environments, we have the expertise to work in energy from waste facilities, power stations, oil refineries, manufacturing environments and more.

What is blast cleaning?

Blast cleaning or shot blasting uses pressurised liquids and abrasive materials to clean, smooth or shape a surface, or to remove contaminants. A range of different materials are used in the blast cleaning process including water, dry ice or grit, with the most appropriate technique dictated by environmental considerations, the nature of the surface and the substance which needs to be removed. In addition, shot blasting also offers a highly effective way to strip a surface back to bare metal in preparation for re-coating or Non-Destructive Testing.

Blast cleaning applications

Blast cleaning provides an efficient, cost-effective solution to a range of applications. The ideal way to use high pressure jets to remove rust, paint, primers and virtually any other coatings from almost any surface, blast cleaning won’t cause damage or generate heat or dust. Here are some examples of how we use blast cleaning:

We are experienced in working in a range of tank environments including energy from waste facilities, storage terminals, oil refineries, hazardous environments and many more. We use bespoke blast cleaning solutions to efficiently clean tanks to store all product types, including fuel, oil, chemicals and waste.

We use safe and thorough techniques to clean buildings. This is a highly specialised area of work, however we have the knowledge and experience required to restore and clean a wide range of buildings.

Floors in factories and warehouses can easily become very dirty. Not only does this look unpleasant, it can also lead to an unsafe working environment.  We clean floors using powerful water jets to remove all traces of dirt and grime, leaving them clean and spotless.

Graffiti can be quickly and easily removed using high pressure jet cleaning. Instead of relying on harsh and abrasive cleaning chemicals, our high pressure jet equipment blasts away graffiti, returning your building to its former glory with the minimum of fuss.
